Firemen

Today I was driving Dawnee home from the pool in Eagle Rock... got off the exit, and right there on the corner of Alvarado and Glendale were 3 or 4 firefighters, all going up to cars with these boots trying to get people to put money in the boots to raise money for some sort of a cause.

I bet all the homeless people that typically stand at that same exact corner asking for money were a bit upset that they couldn't go to work today. For whatever reason, I find it interesting that the Fire Department took a page out of the homeless's book. I just wanted to share.
