To Step Away

I do the video announcements for Angelus Temple, and I build all the videos in the Youth service there... youth service is on Saturdays and main service is Sunday...
This week most all of us here went to Pastors School in Phoenix, and now people have the day off, but I have one day to build an entire youth service (not a little project) and get done the video announcements for the church to play Sunday morning... theres nobody to shoot the announcements... I am in big time scramble mode just trying to figure out how on earth I am going to get it all done, probably nothing short of working all night.

Then I decided to come to the cafe and take a break. Just relax, perhaps a glass bottle of coke, perhaps some green tea, I haven't fully decided yet. A whole weeks worth of work in one day? I guess thats not a big deal... it seems its been done before.

Sometimes in life, I have found that the forward motions and constant pushes find myself pushing against a wall that definitely is not going to move... there is a lot to do, but this is just one of those times when its best to just relax... There has never been a week that I did not get everything done, so why would this week be any different? It wont be.

Breathe. Step away. Enjoy Life a little in the midst of the stuff that has to get done. Relax. I don't relax that often.
My plan is as soon as we get in our new room, to invest in a new TV, set up the wii again, and do less. For some reason, I think I may be able to get more done that way, because if I always feel overwhelmed, I will go to crazy and never be productive at the level that I so badly want to do it at. Take a day off. Take a trip. Do something fun. Spend some money. Live a little, and at the end of the day, you just may be refreshed enough to get right back on track to changing the world.
